Day 1: Rishikesh to Govindghat
Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Rishikesh, driving alongside the scenic Alaknanda River. Passing through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Joshimath, the changing landscapes make the long drive truly mesmerizing. Arrive at Govindghat by evening.
Day 2: Govindghat to Pulna to Ghangaria
After breakfast, take a short jeep ride to Pulna, the starting point of your trek. From here, begin your ascent through lush forests, walking alongside the beautiful Pushpawati River. Reach Ghangaria, a peaceful mountain village, by evening.
Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers and Back
Explore the magical Valley of Flowers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its vibrant alpine blooms. The trek is around 8 km one way, taking you through a colorful landscape filled with rare flowers like Blue Poppy, Cobra Lily, and orchids.
Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and Back
Early in the morning, begin a steep yet rewarding trek towards Hemkund Sahib, covering approximately 6 km one way. Climb higher until you reach the sacred Gurudwara beside a serene glacial lake.
Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat
After breakfast, begin your descent towards Pulna, covering around 9-10 km downhill. From Pulna, take a jeep back to Govindghat, check into your hotel and relax after completing the trek.
Day 6: Govindghat to Rishikesh
On the final day, after breakfast, begin your return journey to Rishikesh, retracing the scenic mountain route. The drive takes approximately 10-11 hours, bringing your journey to a close.
