Day-Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Manali to Jobra — Trek to Chika Camp
Your adventure begins from Manali Mall Road at around 9:00 AM. After a scenic drive of approximately 22 km to Jobra, the trekking journey starts through beautiful pine forests, river crossings, and lush landscapes. The 4 km trek takes around 4-5 hours to Chika Camp (3,078m).
Day 2: Chika Camp to Balu Ka Ghera
Today's trail passes through expansive green meadows, glacier-fed streams, and breathtaking mountain landscapes. The trek covers approximately 8 km and takes around 4-5 hours to reach an altitude of 3,783 metres.
Day 3: Balu Ka Ghera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass
Ascent towards the magnificent Hampta Pass (4,310m). Witness the stunning transition from the lush green Kullu Valley to the barren landscapes of Spiti Valley. Descend towards Shea Goru Camp.
Day 4: Shea Goru to Chhatru — Excursion to Chandratal
Trek downhill towards Chhatru. Continue by vehicle towards the mesmerising Chandratal Lake (4,300m). After exploring the lake, return to Chhatru for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Chhatru to Manali via Atal Tunnel
Begin the return journey to Manali through the world-famous Atal Tunnel. Reach Manali by approximately 3:00 PM.

The ideal season for the Hampta Pass Trek is from June to September. During these months trekkers can witness blooming meadows, clear mountain views and pleasant temperatures. July and August offer lush greenery while September provides crystal-clear skies and stunning mountain photography opportunities.
Difficulty Level
Hampta Pass is classified as a moderate trek. While beginners can complete it successfully, basic fitness preparation is highly recommended. Trekkers should be comfortable walking 5–7 hours daily on uneven terrain and climbing steep sections near the pass.

The highest point of the trek is Hampta Pass at approximately 14,100 feet above sea level. Proper acclimatization and hydration are important throughout the journey.
